After UK Terror, Liberals Blame…Right-Wingers and Sexism?
CNN’s resident terror expert Paul Cruickshank was on the air with Anderson Cooper when the details began rolling in Monday night about the terror attack in Manchester. And while Cruickshank admitted that the early evidence pointed towards the kind of Islamic suicide bombing that it turned out to be, he had the audacity to suggest in those early hours that the attack might have been a right-wing “false flag” meant to demonize Muslims!
These are the same mainstream media cretins who think it’s a travesty that InfoWars has been given White House press credentials, mind you. Apparently, it’s only okay to theorize about false flag attacks if it detracts attention from Islamic radicals. Otherwise, it’s fake news.
“It must also be noted that in recent months in Europe, there’s been a number of false flag plots where right wing have been trying to blame Islamists for terrorism,” Cruickshank said. “We have seen that in Germany in recent weeks.”
Cruickshank didn’t get to bask in the glory of confused liberal nonsense for long, as British and U.S. officials soon confirmed that the perpetrator was a Libyan refugee with ties to the Islamic State. Whoops.
But even after this information came out, there were liberals trying desperately to find some other root cause to blame for the attack. Because it’s just NOT FAIR to blame the religion of peace! It makes no sense! No Muslim would ever kill people in the name of religion! It has never happened!
Thus Massachusetts Democratic congressional candidate – and star of Gamergate – Brianna Wu decided that the real reason behind the attack was…well, just read it for yourself:
“When a man straps on a bomb of nails, goes to woman’s concert to kill an audience of women and girls – IT’S A SAFE BET SEXISM IS INVOLVED,” the moron said on Twitter.
After a few hours of being crucified on social media, Wu deleted the tweet, but she was back shortly with a fresh round of lectures for everyone who realized, rightly, that she was an idiot.
“I absolutely believe that misogyny was part of the #ManchesterBombing,” she said. “ISIS has deliberately targeted women as a strategy for years. The operative word is ‘part of.’ It doesn’t mean other forces aren’t at play, but clearly – this is a large component of this tragedy. It’s fairly shocking to me the dishonest gymnastics people go through to pretend misogyny doesn’t exist. People want to erase it. Thousands of people are screaming at me for pointing out what the @washingtonpost has reported, that sexism was probably a factor here. I’m going to continue speaking about these forces, especially violence, and continue working for a more equal world for girls and women.”
Funny that she would use the term “dishonest gymnastics,” because that’s exactly what liberals like her are engaging in to take the heat off Islamic extremism.
