Are You Ready for the Crooked Hillary Podcast?
Maybe you’re a big fan of listening to podcasts. Or maybe you’ve taken a cursory look across the podcast landscape and haven’t found anything that appeals to you. Either way, you’re sure to be excited about this: Hillary Clinton is launching her own podcast, set to begin in late spring!
We know, we know, you’ve got a lot of dark stuff your mind: Coronavirus, the rise of a socialist to the top of the Democratic Party, Steven Spielberg’s daughter is going into porn – what’s happening to the world?? But with every cloud comes a silver lining, and if listening to Clinton “entertain” us for hours at a time isn’t a silver lining, well…
It’s just a shame that the guys from Pod Save America already took the “Crooked Media” moniker. It would have been perfect.
Sigh.
From Politico:
The former first lady, secretary of State, and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee is planning to launch a new audio program in late spring, just in time for her to have a powerful new megaphone during the 2020 election.

There is some irony that Clinton has gravitated to doing a podcast. As [Howard] Stern repeatedly shows, what makes for a great interview is when a subject opens up and offers windows into character, motivation, relationships — the very things that Clinton the candidate was often unwilling to do. Her guardedness led critics to regard her as “inauthentic,” which arguably harmed her two presidential campaigns.
LOL, you have to love that use of the word “arguably.” Although we suppose if you’re inclined to buy into the Clinton narrative (which we’re sure will get plenty of play on her new show), you would have to put Clinton’s undesirable traits behind misogyny, James Comey, Bernie Bros, the media, and THE RUSSIANS when listing the reasons she lost the election.
According to Politico, Clinton was inspired to do the podcast by Conan O’Brien and Howard Stern. That’s the only part of this story that is even vaguely intriguing – is Crooked Hillary going to unveil some hidden comedy talent? We’re not exactly holding our breath.
As the article says, Clinton’s timing is undoubtedly geared towards making sure she has a platform to speak out early and often about the 2020 election. Things will really get interesting if Bernie Sanders is the nominee; Clinton has not exactly been kind in her assessments of the Vermont socialist, one of many individuals she blames for her loss to Trump. You have to wonder if, in her heart of hearts, she would even WANT to see Sanders triumph in November. Or would it just be salt in the wound?
Well, we can’t say we’ll be tuning in to the Crooked Hillary podcast on a regular basis, but we’re sure it will generate plenty of inane quotes this summer and fall. That is, unless it gets canceled quickly due to an utter dearth of interest. That’s certainly a strong possibility.
Call us when she invites Monica on as a guest.
