Celebrities Vow to Campaign Against Donald Trump
Apparently concerned that the mainstream media is not doing enough with their non-stop negative coverage of Republican nominee Donald Trump, a group of more than 100 celebrities (some of whom stretch the definition of that term) have written a letter vowing to keep Trump out of the White House. Signatories include Bryan Cranston, Mark Ruffalo, Julianne Moore, Lena Dunham, and other reliable liberals.
“When dangerous and divisive leaders have come to power in the past, it has been in part because those of goodwill failed to speak out for themselves or their fellow citizens,” the letter says. “Some of us come from the groups Trump has attacked. Some of us don’t. But as history has shown, it’s often only a matter of time before the ‘other’ becomes me.”
Mmm, yep, yep. Sounds just like people who have forgotten the difference between screenplays and reality. These Hollywood bozos see this as the first act in a political thriller: American Hitler. What will the world do when democracy falls to the clutches of the evil billionaire? Hide the children!
Oh, and can we pause for a moment to highlight this bit about “some of us come from the groups Trump has attacked”? We’ve looked through the entire list of signatories, and while many of them are obscure, none of them appear to be members of the Chinese government. There aren’t, as far as we can tell, any illegal immigrants on the list. No terrorists. No establishment politicians. What “groups” are they talking about? Did Trump say something nasty about failed screenwriters at some point?
Oh right, they aren’t talking about Donald Trump, the man. They’re talking about Donald Trump, the fantasy villain. The creation of the media who has demonized women, blacks, Muslims, Mexicans, and every other minority group in the modern world. It’s hard not to be a part of a group that Fantasy Trump has attacked.
The celebrities are calling their campaign “United Against Hate,” and you can tell how serious they are by who they’ve chosen as their spokesperson: YouTube star Laci Green.
“Defeating Trump is not a matter of getting the word out that he’s basically Voldemort,” Green told the liberal website Mic. “To defeat Trump, we need to get people, and especially young progressives, to actually vote in spite of frustrations with Clinton.”
Oh, and you have to find and destroy the Horcruxes. Don’t forget about that.
We’ll just be over here, munching on some overpriced popcorn and waiting for liberal hysteria to reach a fever pitch. It’s going to be a fun four months.
