CNN Chief Caught Telling Reporters How to Cover Trump Negatively
In the latest bombshell recordings from the guerilla journalists at Project Veritas, CNN head honcho Jeff Zucker and other network executives have been caught in conference calls with their anchors and reporters, telling them specifically how to cover President Donald Trump in the most negative possible light. Erasing any remaining doubt that CNN functions as anything other than the media arm of the Democratic Party, the recordings are the latest in a long series of black marks for the American mainstream press.
In one call from October 9, Zucker urges his employees not to “normalize” the actions of the president.
“OK, I just want to re-emphasize that, you know, I think we cannot normalize what has happened here in the last week with Trump and his behavior,” Zucker said in the call. “And I go back to what [CNN political Director] David Chalian said, that this is a president who knows he’s losing, who knows he’s in trouble, is sick, maybe is on the after-effects of steroids or not. I don’t know, but he is acting erratically and desperately, and we need to, we need to not normalize that. He is all over the place and acting erratically. And I think we need to lean into that.”
A week later, Zucker made it clear that he didn’t want CNN to report on the Hunter Biden laptop scandal that had just come out courtesy of The New York Post.
“The Trump media, you know, moves immediately from — OK, well, never mind — the unmasking was, you know, found to be completely nonsensical to the latest alleged scandal and expects everybody to just follow suit,” Zucker sneered. “So, I don’t think that we should be repeating unsubstantiated smears just because the rightwing media suggests that we should.”
Project Veritas also released a call from November 10 when the presidential transition was on hold. Zucker had a conversation with producer Stephanie Becker, who thought it would be a good idea to raise the specter of 9/11 to shame Trump’s decision not to concede the election.
“On the issue of why it’s important to get the transition going right, the 9/11 report talks about one of the problems was that the trouble that was brewing that got lost during the transition,” Becker said. “So, if you want a good, concrete example of what happens when you don’t have a good transition, well, look at the Twin Towers.”
“Yeah, so I think that’s an important point,” Zucker replied. “I think it was just a little bit yesterday in terms of national security. I think it’s really important to raise again. I would encourage folks to think about that 9/11 Commission Report and the lack of transition.”
A network run in this way has nothing to do with news. This is propaganda, pure and simple.
