Corrupt DOJ Officials Are Praying for a Democrat Victory in November
In an interview with his House colleague, Rep. Sean Duffy, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee said this week that FBI and DOJ officials were playing a game with lawmakers in the hopes that the November midterms would usher in a new day of Democratic leadership on Capitol Hill. Rep. Devin Nunes, who has been patriotically fighting to uncover the ethical and legal abuses committed by the Obama administration in their zeal to stop Donald Trump from becoming president, told Duffy that if Democrats win back the House, it could spell the end of any meaningful inquiry into those abuses. And that, Nunes said, is exactly what Rod Rosenstein and Company are counting on.
“One-hundred percent, they are putting all their chips on the Republicans losing the House and all these investigations will shut down,” Nunes said.
He blamed the media for failing to take seriously the evidence Republicans have uncovered showing improper behavior on the part of senior U.S. officials during and even since the election.
“The media has been horrible on this whole situation,” he said. “What we’ve seen since the election of President Trump has been what’s been going on for a long time, but now you see what I call the 90-10 split. You have 90 percent of the media who are essentially an arm of the Democratic Party. Then you’ve got five percent of the media that I believe, for lack of a better term, are right or center right. They don’t necessarily follow the establishment of the Republican National Committee or something like that, but they definitely are conservative. Then you only have five percent of the journalists that are out there that I would say are legitimate. That’s a problem in this country when you don’t have a free and fair media.”
Nunes lamented that the American public, due to this failure on the part of the media, was in the dark about a great deal of what he and his colleagues had uncovered about the plot to take Trump down.
“The DOJ and FBI have actively obstructed a congressional investigation,” he said. “This is really serious stuff. They opened up a counter-intelligence investigation into the Trump campaign. After seven or eight months of stonewalling, we realized they had no intelligence in the opening of that investigation.”
Unfortunately, thanks to the presentation of the left-wing media, much of America views Nunes’s efforts and claims as little more than partisan nonsense meant to “weaken” the all-important, ever-holy Mueller investigation. As Nunes himself pointed out in the interview, you can bet they would be singing a different tune if a Democrat was sitting in the White House and had been targeted by a Republican president’s DOJ.
Perhaps, when all is said and done, Nunes, Trump, and the other patriots in Washington will have their moment of vindication. But if Democrats win in November, the chances of that happening will grow extremely slim.
