Democrat Rep: “We Already Know” Trump Dossier is True
In a TV interview on Thursday, Rep. Maxine Waters said, without any proof, that she was quite sure that portions of the Buzzfeed-published “dossier” on Donald Trump were factual. And, in fact, it was the most salacious details of that dossier that she was most certain about.
“Your colleague, Representative Adam Schiff, a Democrat on the House panel investigating Donald Trump’s ties to Russia, says he’s seeking testimony of a former British spy who wrote an unsubstantiated dossier of alleged collusion between Donald Trump and Russia,” said MSNBC’s Ali Velshi. “Do you believe anything about that dossier?”
“Oh, I think it should be taken a look at,” Waters said enthusiastically. “I think they should really read it, understand it, analyze it, and determine what’s fact, what may not be fact.”
But then Waters took it upon herself to make a determination of fact without the help of the congressional investigators.
“We already know that the part about the coverage that they have on him with sex actions is supposed to be true,” she said. “They have said that’s absolutely true. Some other things they kind of allude to. Yes, I think he should go into that dossier and see what’s there.”
Velshi pressed Waters to come up with some evidence for that supporting claim. “Because unless you have information that we don’t have, that’s an allegation,” she said.
Waters waved off that minor detail, though.
“Yeah, but you understand that I am saying the investigations must be done,” she said. “The drilling down must be done. We must get to the facts of what it has been about. I don’t think you can do the impeachment just because I think or others think. But I think that if we do the investigations, we will find the connections and I do think that impeachment will be necessary.”
Well, it’s nice of Waters to admit that she does not have the final say in who does and does not get impeached, but this looney bird has strayed way out of the nest. No doubt, this is what the Democratic leadership would like to be saying publicly, but she just levied a major charge against the president without one iota of evidence. She and other Democrats are trying to drum up hysteria, when a simple, sober, factual investigation would suffice.
The kind of thing you might do if you knew there was nothing to your claims.
