Don’t Do Something You’ll Regret on Election Day
On November 8th, many conservatives will vote with a conflicted heart. They loathe Hillary Clinton and everything that she stands for, but they can’t get past their reservations about Donald Trump. They don’t like the idea of a former New York liberal leading the Republican Party. They don’t like the things that have come out about his personal character. They don’t necessary like everything he has to say about the economy.
In many cases, they feel morally conflicted. This is especially true within the evangelical wing of the party. Even though Christians supported Trump in the primaries, they did so with a wary eye. After the 2005 Access Hollywood tape came to light, many of those Christians found themselves at their breaking point.
For those who still aren’t quite sure what to do, please remember that this election comes down to a binary choice. True, you have several options. You can stay home. You can vote for a third-party candidate. You can write in Paul Ryan. But no matter what you do, you are essentially doing one of two things: Helping Hillary Clinton or helping Donald Trump.
So if you are considering a course of action OTHER than voting for Trump, keep these things in mind.
Hillary Clinton is a criminal.
Lawbreaking is not necessarily immoral, but Hillary’s crimes had nothing to do with keeping the faith or taking a courageous ethical stand. She didn’t have God in mind when she chose to stay off the grid as secretary of state. She wasn’t practicing her religion when she exposed our national security secrets to any hacker who happened to be monitoring her private account. In her case, immorality and crime are one, and she has sprinkled her career with a generous pinch of both.
Liberal immigration policies aren’t necessarily immoral, but they become so when they endanger the lives of innocent people. The Hillary/Obama immigration stance puts us in harm’s way. Americans are losing their jobs, their culture, and their very lives. Drugs are destroying our neighborhoods. Even the immigrants themselves – drawn to the U.S. by Obama’s lax policies – are dying terrible deaths on the dangerous road to the border.
And if you believe that abortion is murder, President Hillary Clinton will preside over nothing less than genocide if she gets into office.
No one’s going to pretend that Donald Trump is perfect, least of all Trump himself.
But let’s be clear once again: This is a binary choice, so stop trying to talk yourself into supporting Trump.
Instead, try to talk yourself into supporting the deep immorality and corruption of Hillary Clinton; you’ll soon realize the true meaning of “lesser of two evils.”
Emphasis on evil.
