Extremist Democrat Says Only “Sex-Starved Males” are Opposing Abortion
Last week, Rep. Norma Torres (D-CA) invited a flood of criticism and jeers from her colleagues when she went after House Republicans in a disturbingly personal manner during a debate on abortion.
“Mr. Speaker,” Torres said, “it is tiring to hear from so many sex-starved males on this floor talk about a woman’s right to choose.”
It wasn’t long before Republicans challenged Torres’ remark and demanded that she retract.
“I would just like to ask my friend if she’d like to change her last statement,” said Rep. Rob Woodall (R-GA).
To her credit, Torres seemed to recognize that her jab at Republican men in the House chamber was beyond the pale.
“Mr. Speaker, if it pleases my colleague on the other side, I will withdraw my statement about sex-starved males on the floor,” Torres replied.
So what was Torres’ big problem? Why did she feel the need to slide this far into the mud? Was the House of Representatives considering a bill that would outlaw abortion from sea to shining sea? Of course not. They were debating a legislative package “authored by House Democrats that would block the Trump administration from enforcing a rule that protects health care providers that refuse to participate in services, such as abortion, that go against their beliefs,” Roll Call reported.
See, that’s the thing about Democrats. To them, it’s not good enough to simply give people “constitutional rights” that actually can’t be found anywhere in the Constitution. It’s not good enough to, say, legalize gay marriage or expand abortion rights until babies are being left to die on operating tables. No, no. They aren’t satisfied until every American bows and succumbs to their demonic agenda. They aren’t happy until every Christian baker must deliver the goods for a gay wedding. They aren’t pleased until every doctor of conscience must sully their hands with an abortion. They can’t just “win,” they have to conquer.
After Republicans in the chamber rejected Torres’ initial faux-apology, the congresswoman tried again.
“I will put it in different terms, it is tiring to be here on this floor or in committee as a woman — to continue to be counseled about what types of affordable — whether it is family planning conversations that rightfully I deserve to have with my own doctor, choosing when women want to have a family and to avoid pregnancies before they become pregnancies,” Torres said. “It is unfortunate that, that is something that continues to be denied to American women day in and day out on this floor.”
Well, thankfully for Torres, nothing of the kind is actually happening in this country. Not only is she an extremist and a very rude person, she is ignorant. In other words, a perfect fit for the Democratic Party.
