If you’re a man who doesn’t like Hillary Clinton, you may be interested to know why. Right? Aren’t you curious?
Oh, you say, I already know why. I don’t like her policies. I don’t like her husband. I don’t like what she says and I don’t like what she’s done in the past. It’s actually very straightforward!
Ah, but see, all of that is just an illusion. It’s your mind playing tricks on you. The real reason you don’t like Hillary is that you’re threatened by strong, powerful women.
Just listen to Gloria Steinem.
“As children, most of us are raised by women, so we may tend to associate female authority with childhood,” the feminist icon said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “We see it as emotional, overwhelming, perhaps inappropriate to public life, not rational enough.”
It should be noted that Steinem is not a trained psychologist of any kind.
“You can see that in some of the media coverage from otherwise mature, grown-up men, who are saying things like, ‘I cross my legs whenever I see her. She reminds me of my first wife asking for alimony,'” Steinem said. “They are responding to the last time they saw a powerful woman. They feel unmanned. I don’t think it’s conscious, but I think it’s present. It’s not going to be easy. It’s a very big change.”
So there you have it, guys. The real reason you feel that way about Hillary Clinton is that she reminds you of that time your mom yelled at you for getting your Sunday School clothes all dirty. She reminds you of that fourth-grade teacher who was always such a hardass to you for no reason. She’s your ex-wife, your bitchy nextdoor neighbor, and your female boss all rolled into one big conceptual nightmare!
If you’re having any emotional reaction to all of this other than laughter, then you should probably get comfortable with whatever irritation or annoyance or anger it’s causing you. Because not only are you going to hear this nonsense for the next three months, you might be headed for four solid years of it. As Obama was immune to criticism, so shall Hillary be. The left is determined to turn her into a symbol of feminism, so any attack on her is an attack on all women – no, scratch that – an attack on all liberal women, which are the only ones that really matter.
So…if you needed another reason to support Trump…
