Hillary Clinton: I Would Beat Trump if I Were On The 2020 Ballot
Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton say down with The Hollywood Reporter’s podcast this week to expound on the coronavirus pandemic, Trump’s threat to “lock her up” in 2016, and whether or not she would be able to defeat the president if she were on the ballot this year. As delusional and arrogant as ever, Clinton told the podcasters that she was frustrated being kept out of rallies and conventions due to the virus.
“I will tell you, it’s frustrating to be on the sidelines in a pandemic,” Clinton said. “But I’m trying — through speaking out, and raising money for groups and candidates, and doing everything I can — to stay as involved as possible, even at a distance.”
Well, from what we remember about Clinton’s 2016 events and her subsequent speaking tour with husband Bill, those appearances were pretty, um, socially-distanced even before anyone had ever heard the term. And judging by Joe Biden’s rare events this year, it’s not as if supporters are clamoring to pack into an arena – virus or no virus. In fact, we’re fairly sure that a Biden/Clinton event would be safer than your average trip to the grocery store in terms of avoiding infection.
Anyway, we digress. Let’s hear about whether or not Hillary was worried that President Trump would “lock her up.”
“I didn’t know what he was capable of,” she said. “Look, if I had ever done anything wrong, he would have gone after me. Let me put it that way. You know, I’ve never done anything wrong. I’m, you know, as some people like to say, the most investigated, exonerated person in recent history.”
I’ve never done anything wrong? Oookay, Hillary.
“Part of what he does in the way he lashes out is because, deep down, he knows the Russians helped him, despite his incredible efforts to deny it,” Clinton continues. “He knows WikiLeaks helped him. He understands all of that. So if he could [have gone after me] — as he has tried to do, to go after people all the time, and thankfully without a lot of success — he would have, because he’s a vindictive score-settler and he doesn’t want the legitimacy of his election ever to be questioned, although history will continue to question it. So, thankfully, you know, I never did anything that gave him any cause, despite his best efforts.”
Yes, you read that right. In the year of our lord 2020, Hillary Clinton is still convinced that Russians kept her out of the White House.
Oh, and speaking of delusions:
Would she beat Trump if she were on the ballot again in November? “Yes. But I think people believe that this is a referendum on him.”
So sure about that, Hillary? Then…where are you? Why didn’t you run?
Ah, her tale of tragedy never grows old. Somehow, we doubt Joe Biden’s list of postmortem excuses will be anywhere near as fun.
