Introducing Racist State Senator Ernie Chambers
Every so often, you get an irrefutable example of just how obvious the liberal media is when it comes to choosing which controversies to cover. If a GOP staffer makes a remark about the president’s daughters, the whole world stops to gawk and condemn. If a Republican city council member from a place no one’s ever heard of uses a term considered “dog-whistle” racism, we have to cover it on the nightly news for a week. But when a Democrat State Senator uses vile, anti-white language? Oh, well, we’ll just sweep that under the rug, won’t we?
Since you’ll never see this story on the mainstream networks, you might as well use this as your opportunity to get acquainted with racist Nebraska State Senator Ernie Chambers. The 77-year-old psycho is well known in his home state as a Democrat unbound by reason, but it’s time for the rest of the country to see what kind of nonsense liberals are willing to put up with.
All White People Are Racist
Last week, the Omaha Senator engaged in a filibuster aimed at thwarting a bill that would hike marriage license fees. Apparently running out of coherent things to say about the bill, Chambers decided to go on a racist rant. In the eight hour filibuster, Chambers said that all white people were racist, that his blood was polluted by white people who jumped a fence, that his ancestors were enslaved and sexually assaulted by the Founding Fathers, and that the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence were created to give whites license to do as they pleased with black females.
The environment in which Chambers made his remarks is already a racially-charged one. There has been controversy surrounding a state education board member, Pat McPherson, who littered his blog with racist comments, including one where he referred to President Obama as a “half-breed.” Newspapers, senators, the teacher’s union, the school board, and the governor have called for his resignation, but he has rejected those calls, insisting that he did not write the blog posts in question.
But while the McPherson case may be deplorable, Chambers’ colleagues in the senate do not feel that it gives him license to unleash his own racism. “I grow a little weary of the constant charge that we are all racist,” said Senator Dave Bloomfield, who is actually aiding Chambers in his filibuster.
In response, Chambers said, “I make hats, and if one fits and you put it on your head, that’s on you.” He went on to rail against white privilege, the fact that store clerks passed him up to serve white customers first, and the way black children were beaten at the schools he attended growing up.
In a writeup on the perils of reverse racism, the New York Times wrote…nothing.
In an expose on how one Democrat in Nebraska was setting race relations back fifty years, NBC Nightly News said…nothing.
The newspapers calling for McPherson’s resignation turned around and called for Chambers…to do nothing.
As far as I can tell, not one mainstream news organization has picked up the story. Of course they haven’t. You can’t be racist against whites, silly. Liberal opinions are never controversial, you dumb hick. Read a book!
Of course, this is the guy Mother Jones once profiled, praising him for “an unsurpassed knowledge of legislative rules,” his “mastery of oratory,” and his “exceptional” work as the Nebraska legislature’s sole African-American. It just goes to show: as long as your targets are white and conservative, you are free to be as nasty and hateful as you want.
