KKK Leader Endorses Hillary for President
Why does it seem unlikely that Hillary Clinton will be asked to disavow this over and over and over again for the next week?
In The Telegraph this week, the head of a California chapter of the Ku Klux Klan said that he was supporting Hillary Clinton for president after learning that her policies would not be those she espouses on the campaign train. Grand Dragon Will Quigg told the paper, “We want Hillary Clinton to win. She is telling everybody one thing, but she has a hidden agenda. She’s telling everybody what they want to hear so she can get elected, because she’s Bill Clinton’s wife, she’s close to the Bushes. Once she’s in the presidency, she’s going to come out and her true colors are going to show.”
According to Quigg, who has previously expressed support for Donald Trump, he has shadow sources providing him with inside information about the true Hillary. “I cannot reveal my sources,” he said. “It’s my opinion – if you know what I mean, wink, wink. I don’t want her to come back and say I’m slandering her.”
Quigg said that Clinton’s stated policies on illegal immigration and guns were just a show. “Border policies are going to be put in place,” he said. “Our second amendment rights that she’s saying she’s against now, she’s not against. She’s just our choice for the presidency.”
After the infamous David Duke told his radio listeners that they should vote for Trump a couple of weeks ago, the media had a field day. Trump, once again the undisputed master of knowing exactly how to keep his name at the forefront of the news cycle, quickly disavowed the endorsement before playing coy in a later interview with Jake Tapper. That ensured that once again, none of the other candidates had a prayer of getting coverage for the next 48 hours. Trump later blamed his waffling on a bad earpiece.
Clinton probably wouldn’t dare to play that game even if she were afforded the opportunity, which she won’t have because the media won’t even ask her about it. Clinton’s only path to the White House is through black voters, as her victories over Bernie Sanders have made abundantly obvious.
As for the meat of the KKK guy’s statements, they’re hardly worth analyzing. Quigg has apparently learned a bit of media manipulation from the master himself; without knowing a thing about him, it’s safe to say he’s just doing this to bait some publicity. Thanks to Trump and Duke, the Klan is enjoying a moment of renewed relevance. A brief moment, hopefully. Suffice to say, the idea that Clinton might be a closet conservative who will protect our borders and gun rights is ridiculous. Although, with the way the Republican Party is self-destructing this year, it might be a fantasy worth entertaining for sanity’s sake.
