Man Sues Museum Over White Jesus
We need to start treating the lunatic left in this country like the spoiled children they are.
What’s happening in America today is a clear indictment of weak-willed, soft parenting. The type of parenting style that puts a child’s in-the-moment happiness above all other priorities. You want your kid to stop crying, so you give them what they want. And they are happy for a while. But later, they want something else and so they start crying again. You give them what they want. And this cycle continues. Worse, the child’s “needs” get harder and harder to satisfy. This is what it means to spoil a child, and it is obviously what a great many parents chose to do.
These parents must have seen the Biblical warning, “Spare the rod; spoil the child” as an instructional adage.
This recipe ruins lives, and it is starting to ruin the country. It has turned out a generation of liberals who cannot be happy. They are spoiled beyond redemption and they are angry. It’s tragic, really. These kids – now in college and beyond – cannot escape the destructive lessons of their childhoods. The central lesson, in particular, which says that the only way to get what you want is to cry about it. These kids may not have learned much in the way of a productive skillset, but they have mastered the art of crying.
Not long ago, these kids would have eventually run into the Brick Wall of Reality. The real world would have given them the spankings they should have gotten when they were still in diapers. There might have been hope. It’s not easy to deprogram a spoiled brat who has turned into a spoiled adult, but it’s not impossible.
Unfortunately, the “real world” that is 2015 America is just as soft and weak-willed as the parents that raised these children. Hell, it’s largely comprised of the same people. The babies whine and we rush around to find a pacifier. Thus, the removal of the Confederate flag. Thus, the resignations at several universities. Thus, Black Lives Matter. Instead of doing the hard thing – to tell these grown-up brats to get a life – we are feeding the insanity.
And so you get people like Justin Renel Joseph.
Joseph feels “rejected and unaccepted by society.” Why? Because hanging in the Metropolitan Museum of Art are four paintings of Christ, all of which depict him as a white man.
“Offensive.”
“Racist.”
These are some of the descriptions of the paintings you can find in the lawsuit Joseph has filed against the Met.
The paintings in question are “The Holy Family with Angels,” by Sebastiano Ricci; “The Resurrection,” by Perugino; “The Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes,” by Tintoretto; and “The Crucifixion,” by Francesco Granacci.
Joseph wants them removed.
“They completely changed his race to make him more aesthetically pleasing for white people,” he whined to The New York Post. “I’m suing a public venue which by the Civil Rights Act of 1964 can’t discriminate on a protected basis.”
The museum vows to fight the lawsuit, saying the paintings are a matter of history.
“When they were painted, it was typical for artists to depict subjects with the same identity as the local audience,” a museum spokesman said. “This phenomenon occurs in many other cultures as well.”
Of course, defending these paintings as art may work in court, but they won’t do anything to mollify idiots like Joseph. When you’ve decided to feel “personal stress” from a painting of Jesus you don’t have to ever look at, you’re beyond help.
Trump’s wall across the Mexican border is much-needed, but we need to bring back the Brick Wall of Reality while we’re at it. These children don’t need Black Jesuses and safe spaces; they need the business end of a paddle.
