Media Horrified That Karen Pence Would Work at a Christian School
Apparently, the mainstream media thinks Americans will be captivated, horrified, and repulsed when they realize that Christian schools are still teaching that homosexuality is a sin, that real marriage is between a man and a woman, and that no, you were not born in the “wrong body.” They’ve made such an attempt to normalize their own twisted values for the last decade (or honestly, longer) that they are surprised to realize that there are a great many Americans who still aren’t on board with their ridiculous gay agenda. Americans like Karen Pence, the wife of the Vice President.
So we get stories like this from The New York Times, which reported in ghastly tones: “Karen Pence, the second lady of the United States, returned to teaching art this week, accepting a part-time position at a private Christian school that does not allow gay students and requires employees to affirm that marriage should only be between a man and a woman.”
Oh really.
We quite doubt that Immanuel Christian School has a policy that says “No Gays Allowed.” That would really be begging for legal trouble, especially in this day and age. Furthermore, that’s hardly in line with Christian teachings.
On the other hand, we find it immensely believable that the school prohibits gay behavior, and we would be quite shocked if it had any other policy when it comes to gay marriage.
And indeed, this is the case at the school Pence is going to work for. They have their employees and parents sign an agreement that simply states that they can refuse employment (or student enrollment) to anyone if their conduct or the conduct of their families does not fall in line with a biblical lifestyle.
“This includes, but is not limited to contumacious behavior, divisive conduct, and participating in, supporting, or condoning sexual immorality, homosexual activity or bi-sexual activity, promoting such practices, or being unable to support the moral principles of the school. (Lev. 20:13 and Romans 1:27.) I acknowledge the importance of a family culture based on biblical principles and embrace biblical family values such as a healthy marriage between one man and one woman. My role as spiritual mentor to my children will be taken seriously,” says the agreement.
It is fine for members of the media to disagree with this philosophy. It is fine for anyone to disagree with the school’s interpretation of the biblical lifestyle. But what is not fine is to run hit piece after hit piece, declaring Karen Pence a terrible person for doing nothing more or less than following her Christian faith. That is bigoted, that is backwards, and that is reprehensible.
But it is also very, very telling of the liberal bubble under which these cretins live.
