Professor Tells Audience He “Wouldn’t Mind” if Trump Wound Up Dead
Remember back in the day, when including a float depicting an Obama-themed outhouse was deemed a possible hate crime by the Department of Justice? Remember when the media would twist any criticism of the first black president to make it seem as though to critic was some kind of incurable racist? Remember when we would get long lectures about how conservatives had lost all respect for the institution of the White House, simply because a black man had the audacity to live there? We remember. We remember eight long years of that nonsense.
But maybe we’re the only ones, because it sure seems like that same media has no problem whatsoever with professionals using the most vile terminology they can summon to describe and critique the current president. We get it, Trump is white, and you can say whatever you want to about a white man, but doesn’t this kinda ruin their belief that conservatives only hated Obama because of his skin color? Isn’t it possible that, you know, we just hated him because of his arrogance, his policies, and his thinly-veiled loathing of America?
But enough about Obama. Let’s talk about Trump. More specifically, let’s talk about Northeastern University professor Barry Bluestone and what he had to say about President Trump at a public event on January 31.
From Campus Reform:
On Monday, Northeastern’s School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs posted a video of the two-hour event to its YouTube page, near the end of which Bluestone shared his fantasy of seeing Donald Trump leave the presidency, either through impeachment or death.
“This president that we have is really out of control…sometimes I want to just see him impeached,” Bluestone remarked. “Other times, quite honestly—I hope there are no FBI agents here—I wouldn’t mind seeing him dead.”
One of Bluestone’s colleagues quickly interrupted, saying, “Of natural causes,” and Bluestone hastily agreed, thus covering himself from a potential Secret Service visit.
But honestly, this is about more than whether Bluestone’s remarks crossed a legal line. We’re sure he’s fine as far as that goes. It’s more to do with what liberals are willing to say and tolerate when it comes to Donald Trump…especially after what they were willing to tolerate during the Obama years. We know it gets old pointing out hypocrisy on the left, but damn. It really is extraordinary how utterly rudderless and amoral these people are.
