Republicans Can’t Seriously Think of Voting for Her
According to a new story in the Washington Post, part of Hillary Clinton’s campaign strategy involves drawing in Republican voters who aren’t happy with Donald Trump. While this strategy was very obviously on display during the stars-and-stripes-laden Democratic National Convention, where party liberals pretended to embrace patriotism and the idea of American exceptionalism, that piece of laughable theater is apparently going to make up a central part of her fall gameplan.
“The message is simple,” WaPo writes, “Even if you have never before considered voting for a Democrat, and even if you don’t like Clinton, choosing her this year is a moral and patriotic imperative.”
“Duty, honor, country,” is the core of the message, a person close to the campaign told the paper.
Please.
But let’s put aside the many reasons that no Republican should think of voting for Hillary Clinton, because it would take all day to list them all. Let’s go straight to the heart of this message, which is that Republican voters should not vote for Donald Trump.
The truth is, every Republican should vote for Donald Trump, and they should do so without any hesitation at all. Does Trump fit the mold of the traditional conservative? Maybe not, but there’s plenty of meat on the bone for any conservative to chew on for the next three months.
On immigration, there’s no one more conservative than Trump. His opponent wants to erase the border between the U.S. and Mexico; Trump wants to build a wall across the border and put an end to the vile lawlessness costing working-class Americans jobs. In many ways, this is the only issue that really matters. Even if illegal immigration rates remain exactly what they are today, this country will be beyond hope in another fifty years, max. If we’re ever going to get this infection under control, now is the time. And no one but Trump actually wants to do that.
On the economy, there’s no comparison. Trump’s tax plan will drastically reduce the burden on the middle class, stimulate a true American recovery, and put people back to work. By cutting through the insane entanglement of federal regulations, he’ll put life back into our crumbling manufacturing industry and rescue communities that have suffered endlessly under this administration. Hillary Clinton will double down on all the worst Obama policies and draw us closer to a new recession.
And you can go right on down the line. Whether it’s Obamacare, Syrian refugees, ISIS, the totality of American foreign policy, or pure Washington corruption, Trump is the clear choice for any Republican.
Hillary’s not just unacceptable, she’s dangerous.
Don’t make a grave mistake this November.
