With a year to go until we can really get the liberal tears flowing again, Sean Spicer’s dominance on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars makes for a nice little snack in the meantime. The show, which relies on viewer votes to determine who stays and who goes, is making Trump-hating viewers red with rage as former White House Press Secretary Spicer makes it through week after week with his (reportedly) lackluster dancing skills.
Now, we’ll admit that we don’t watch the show and, even if we did, we wouldn’t really be able to discern a top-notch dancing routine from a lame one. So we’re just going by what we hear as it pertains to the quality of Spicer’s dancing. Maybe he’s actually terrific and all the people bashing his routines are just angry that he was ever allowed on the show to begin with. Or maybe they’re right. Who knows. It really doesn’t matter.
What matter is just HOW angry this is making the left. Like, they are pissed.
“Few things illustrate the absolute death cult that is Trump’s hardcore superfans as perfectly as tens of thousands of people watching Sean Spicer dance extremely poorly and then voting that he was actually the best, anyway, because MAGA or something,” whined Parker Molloy on Twitter.
Aggrieved viewer Francesca wrote, “And with that, I will no longer be watching @DancingABC. We had a good run, but the show is now trash.”
Apparently the producers should change the rules, take the results out of the hands of the viewers, and just cut Spicer off the show because a bunch of whiny liberals don’t like him. Well, actually, that tracks with their take on the 2016 election, so…
“I’m not going to Tweet any photos or add snarky comments about the fact that Sean Spicer is on #DWTS28. I’ll just add that this is all just demented. He shouldn’t be on a TV show getting more attention & making money. He should probably be in jail—or in some way held accountable,” tweeted Paul Rieckhoff.
Ah. “Lock him up,” eh? We thought it was a sign of the end times when Trump fans were chanting that stuff about Hillary Clinton. What crime did Spicer commit, exactly?
Despite the waves of disdain being thrown at him from liberal America, Spicer himself remains grounded and good-natured about his fortune.
“Honestly, I’m humbled,” he said. “I mean, I know what my scores were. I know how well the rest of the cast did, and to know that that many people outweighed that vote, it just means a ton. You stop and think once in a while, on a Monday night when everything else in the world in going on, you’re making lunch for the kids, getting work done for the next day, whatever it is, and you stop and text and vote online for me on a show, it really means a lot.”
Here’s hoping that Spicer goes all the way, if only for the fact that we really want an appetizer for next November’s epic national meltdown.
