To hear it from liberals these days, Republican voters and independents who voted for Donald Trump should be kicking themselves for making the wrong choice. Would Hillary Clinton be mired in this endless spiral of scandal if she were president?
Uh, do they even REMEMBER Hillary Clinton??
Granted, President Hillary would not be getting the relentlessly negative press coverage that’s been gleefully thrown at the Trump administration, but this is a woman – a family – that has been mired in scandal from the moment they stepped onto the national political stage. And what’s worse – many of her worst misdeeds have been so well hidden by the mainstream media that the American people have no clue how devious, power-mad, and lawless she really is.
For instance, a new report from Circa’s Sara Carter that reveals that as Secretary of State, Hillary personally intervened on behalf of a major Clinton Foundation donor that the government of Bangladesh was getting ready relieve of his duties. Dr. Muhammad Yunus was the president of the government-backed Grameen Bank, and Circa reports that he had given hundreds of thousands of dollars to Clinton’s global charity while serving in that position. When Bangladesh banking laws required that he step down in 2011 due to his age (70), both the Clinton Foundation and Hillary herself tried to intervene.
“The Office of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina confirmed to Circa that Mrs. Clinton called her office in March 2011 to demand that Dr. Muhammad Yunus, a 2006 Nobel Peace prize winner, be restored to his role as chairman of the country’s most famous microcredit bank, Grameen Bank,” Carter reports.
She cited an email from Bangladeshi Deputy Press Secretary Md Nazrul Islam, who said, “Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton telephoned Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in March 2011 insisting her not to remove Dr. Muhammad Yunus from the post of Managing Director of Grameen Bank.”
Intervention of this sort could easily spark a criminal investigation into Clinton’s actions as Obama’s top diplomat; if she’d become president, Republicans would almost certainly launch a congressional inquiry into the matter. As it stands, there’s probably not enough political will to go after her. After all, if she got away with the insanity that was her private server, this is small potatoes.
But it goes to show you: The liberal media has one set of rules for Donald Trump and the Republicans and another set for their darling Democrats.
