The Democrat Who’s Building a TV Career off the Fake Russia Investigation
With the possible exception of his fellow California congresswoman, Maxine Waters, no one has made a more blatant attempt to get famous off the back of Donald Trump than Rep. Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee. A tracking report this week found that Schiff has logged more than 123 national TV interviews since January, putting his ugly face before the cameras for a total of 14 hours, the majority of which time was spent making lurid accusations and insinuations against and about the President of the United States.
Just this past Sunday, on CBS’s Face the Nation, Schiff was in front of the cameras widening the scope of the Democrat conspiracy theory against Trump. Asked if it was appropriate for Special Counsel Robert Mueller to spread the tentacles of his investigation into Trump’s personal finances, Schiff said…well, what do you think he said?
“First, the president is clearly worried that Bob Mueller is going to be looking into allegations, for example, that the Russians may have laundered money through the Trump Organization,” he said. “That is really something, in my opinion, he needs to look at because what concerns me the most is, anything that could be held over the president’s head that could influence U.S. policy, that would be among the most powerful form of compromise. So I think it is something he needs to look at. It’s something plainly the president is very concerned about, but clearly within the scope of Bob Mueller’s investigation.”
Right, right. The problem is, where is the evidence that Trump laundered money for the Russians? You can’t just make up wild allegations and then say, well, someone accused the president of this, so it’s our right to go and investigate the charges. If some idiot Democrat recklessly accuses the president of murder, does it mean the special counsel gets to spend the rest of the year tracking down Trump’s exact whereabouts for the last twenty years? It’s absurd, insane, and it needs to stop.
Schiff’s latest TV appearance obviously irritated President Trump, who tweeted, “Sleazy Adam Schiff, the totally biased Congressman looking into ‘Russia,’ spends all of his time on television pushing the Dem loss excuse!”
Sleazy. That’s the perfect word for someone who is trying to make a name for himself at the expense of not just the president, but the entire workings of the federal government. Because NOTHING is getting done while everyone is chasing their tails around trying to convince the country that the president is an American traitor. And every one of these politicians and pundits should have to answer before Congress when this is all said and done. At the very least, they will have to answer to the voters.
Make those TV appearances count while they last, Mr. Schiff.
