The House Intelligence Committee has concluded its nearly 500-day investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, and they are getting ready to release what promises to be a staggering final report in the coming days. Ahead of that release, which must be preceded by an intelligence agency review, there are have leaks and official statements on the content of the report. While the final text will undoubtedly include many earthshaking revelations, we’ve already been privy to three bombshells that throw the left’s Russia narrative into the outer reaches of deep space.
The Big One
The biggest revelation from the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation was already publicly announced by the principles on the committee. Over the course of their inquiry, which included poring through thousands of pages of classified information and speaking to thousands of witnesses, the Committee found NO evidence that the Trump campaign colluded with Moscow in the latter’s election-year meddling.
“The committee found no evidence that meetings between Trump associates—including Jeff Sessions—and official representatives of the Russian government—including Ambassador Kislyak—reflected collusion, coordination, or conspiracy with the Russian government,” an advance preview of the report stated.
Michael Flynn’s Innocence
Furthermore, the Committee concluded that while former national security adviser Michael Flynn has apparently pleaded guilty under coercion from Special Counsel Robert Mueller, he is in fact NOT guilty of the crime he’s accused of. In their review of the case, which included interviewing members of the Justice Department and the FBI, the Committee found that “the Federal Bureau of Investigation agents did not detect any deception during Flynn’s interview.”
Which makes you wonder what the hell is really going on with Flynn and Mueller.
James Clapper’s Lies
In a finding that could herald a new chapter on federal investigation’s, the Committee said that Obama’s Director of National Intelligence James Clapper – now a frequent anti-Trump commentator on CNN – was less than forthcoming when interviewed by lawmakers. The final report will allege that Clapper “provided inconsistent testimony to the committee about his contacts with the media, including CNN.”
The final report also promises to have much to say on a closely-related subject – the media leaks coming out of the Obama administration in the final months of the election. While we won’t speculate on the final analysis, the current previews suggest that Obama’s intel community was leaking like a sieve in the runup to November, releasing information to the media that tracked perfectly with intelligence briefings circulating within the administration at that time. These tidbits were nearly all taken out of context to make it seem as though there was something nefarious going on between the Trump campaign and Russia, leading House Republicans to conclude that these leaks were politically motivated.
Democrats are already denouncing the conclusions of the committee, but then, they would do that. Without providing the American people with one shred of evidence, they are still determined to keep the “Trump and Putin colluded” lie alive at least until the midterms. Hopefully, voters will trust what they see with their own eyes and not what these deceptive Democrats want them to believe.
