Top Senate Democrat Makes SHOCKING Statement on Loretta Lynch
Liberals may be getting ready to turn on James Comey again.
After they gave him a mixed response for his scathing (but not criminal) indictment of Hillary Clinton last summer, they turned on him viciously in October when he revealed that the FBI was re-opening the case against her. Then, when he was fired by President Trump, he suddenly became a HERO to the left – a man of such upstanding character and conviction that it was outrageous to think of him as anything other than the finest man to ever lead the Bureau.
But now that he has made damning allegations against President Obama’s attorney general, will Comey once again find himself on the wrong side of the radical left?
Or, perhaps even better, maybe liberal Democrats are finally beginning to see the light when it comes to their hero, former President Barack Obama.
Certainly, we saw something Sunday that you don’t see every day. On CNN’s State of the Union program, top Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein was asked about Comey’s testimony – specifically the part where he insinuated that Obama’s attorney general, Loretta Lynch, did not seem to be running a Justice Department free from political influence.
“I think we need to know more about that,” said Feinstein. “And there’s only one way to know about it, and that’s to have the Judiciary Committee take a look at that.”
Whoa! Now that may not sound like much in these days of Trump, where every politician talks in the kind of rhetoric we used to only hear in the lead-up to Wrestlemania, but that’s a big deal. For a Democrat to even suggest that a top Obama administration official might have to be investigated by the Senate…damn, these are strange times indeed.
But of course, what choice do they have? Comey laid it out, clear as day. He told the Senate that Lynch’s behavior – asking him to call the Hillary Clinton investigation a “matter,” meeting with Bill Clinton on that tarmac in Arizona, and one other undisclosed, problematic concern – made him highly suspicious of her ability to handle the case without bias. If the Democrats are going to push this dubious “obstruction of justice” charge against the president, they will look like abject hypocrites if they don’t do the same with Lynch.
Of course, that will be familiar territory for them, so we’re not exactly getting our hopes up.
