In blistering remarks on Wednesday night, Fox News host Tucker Carlson said it was disgusting to watch the “so-called feminist movement” ignore Tara Reade and her sexual assault allegations against Joe Biden. Carlson reached his breaking point when Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), a woman who has proclaimed herself the leader of the #BelieveWomen initiative, defended the former vice president instead of taking the allegations seriously.
“The American feminist movement may be the single most corrupt movement in the world,” Carlson said. “More corrupt than the government of Equatorial Guinea. It’s more corrupt than the World Health Organization. There is nothing more corrupt than institutional feminism.
“If you want proof, look no further than Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of New York,” Carlson continued. “Two years ago, Gillibrand wanted Kavanaugh’s life and family destroyed.”
Carlson noted that Gillibrand wasn’t quite so determined to destroy Biden in the wake of Reade’s allegations. Indeed, in comments to reporters on Tuesday, Gillibrand affirmed her support.
“I stand by Vice President Biden,” she said. “He’s devoted his life to supporting women and he has vehemently denied this allegation.”
Wow, that’s all the bases you have to cover to automatically be adjudicated innocent by Democrats? “Devote your life” to supporting women and then deny the allegation? Gee, Harvey Weinstein supported women, didn’t he? He sure gave plenty of them a head-start on their acting careers. We assume that if he’d been running for president as the Democratic nominee, Gillibrand and the rest of the phony feminists would have rushed to his defense as well.
Carlson reminded his viewers that, back when Kavanaugh stood accused of assault by Christine Blasey Ford, Gillibrand decided that he was guilty into proven innocent.
“Her argument was that Kavanaugh has not demanded that the FBI forensically go through his entire life. He doesn’t appear to trust the FBI … therefore, he must be guilty,” Carlson said. “Has Joe Biden begged the FBI to take a close look at his personal life over the past 50 years? Oh, he hasn’t? He must be guilty.”
No, of course not. The standard now is whether or not The New York Times has declared the accusation credible. Or, we take that back, actually, because the Times never made any judgment call on the viability of the accusation; the Biden campaign simply said they did. His defenders in the Democratic Party, apparently, just took this talking point on faith.
“We want to be clear, we have no idea if Joe Biden actually did this. But the point is, in American politics, it doesn’t matter,” Carlson concluded. “Here’s the takeaway: Institutional feminism, the so-called feminist movement, is fake. It was never about believing women. They don’t care about women. They care about power.”
This was blindingly obvious back when they were trashing Kavanaugh. Now it’s indisputable.
