Ugh: RINO Trump Critics Announce That They’re Forming a Super PAC
A group of so-called conservatives including George Conway, Steve Schmidt, Rick Wilson, former John Kasich adviser John Weaver, and former New Hampshire GOP chair Jennifer Horn announced on Tuesday that they are launching a super PAC intended to keep President Donald Trump from being reelected. The project, which will undoubtedly be just as successful as previous Republican-led efforts to “stop Trump,” was announced by the group in a New York Times op-ed.
“Defeat President Trump and Trumpism at the ballot box,” the group said in their op-ed headline.
While the media loves to treat every instance of a “Republican” coming out against President Trump, there is absolutely nothing surprising about this collection of critics. To an individual, they have been as virulently anti-Trump as any Democrat since long before the last election. If there’s any surprise at all, it’s that Conway – the husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway – would actually put money against his wife’s boss and political ally. But, having seen the garbage that George has published over the last three years, it’s not that much of a surprise. He’s a piece of trash if ever there was one.
In arrogantly naming their effort the Lincoln Project, these traitors hope to get a glimmer of gravitas from a great president of the past to help them destroy a great president of the present. Unable to look past such horrors as Twitter insults and the denigration of failed foreign policy blunders, Conway & Friends are going to move beyond social media sniping and into the realm of fundraising, advertising, and perhaps (if we’re really lucky) campaigning. Gosh, Bill Weld could sure use the boost.
In an interview with the AP, Conway said that he’d hoped to draft the anonymous author of that infamous NY Times op-ed (and the recent book, “A Warning”) into his group.
“I think the more the merrier,” Conway said. “And I hope maybe he — he or she, I don’t know who Anonymous is — will come out someday and join the effort. Because everyone who believes as we do that Donald Trump is a cancer on the presidency and on the Constitution needs to help and join this effort.”
We’re sure that Ana Navarro and Jennifer Rubin are digging through their pocketbooks as we speak, and we’re sure that the ladies of “The View” will find a comfortable place on their couch for these losers whenever they want to come promote their nonsense on television.
But as for actually turning Republican voters against Trump? As for actually making one damn bit of difference in the upcoming election?
No, we’re afraid that isn’t in the cards. Thanks for playing, though.
