University Faculty Group Calls Support of Trump a “Racist Provocation”
Proving once again that leftist college students consider any speech that isn’t 100% “on their side” to be racist and hateful, the Chico State Student Government at California State University has penned an extraordinary rebuke of campus Republicans, demanding that the college administrators take action against them for their white supremacist ways.
“We take this stance because students of color have expressed that they are experiencing an increasingly hostile racial climate, both on and off-campus, since President Trump took office. It is unjust for students of color to experience overt and/or covert forms of racism ideologically, systemically, and/or in practice.”
Under ordinary circumstances, this is where the Chico State faculty would respond, in measured tones: Are you effing serious? Go home and suck on your bottle, snowflake!
But of course, we are a long way from those times, and these limp-wristed administrators are terrified to anger the riled masses.
“We want students, staff, and faculty of color, as well as members of any other groups that have been targeted by white supremacist insults, ridicule, and other forms of oppression to know that CFA sees the harm that is inflicted when we are all subjected to witness such abuse,” wrote the Chico State Faculty Association. “Displaying banners and signs supporting the reelection of the sitting president can be experienced as an act of racist provocation.”
Wow. Keep in mind that all of this started because an insane leftist attacked a student who was holding an “All Lives Matter” sign last month. Instead of taking action against the attacker, the faculty is so paralyzed by wokeness that they’re taking the side of the insane leftists. Unbelievable. Scary, yet true.
It’s “absurd,” said the Chico State Faculty, to believe that right-wing political voices are being silenced on campus.
“Rejecting the abusive, insulting, and corrupt president/candidate they support is not punishment,” they wrote. “Just because they have a right to express their views does not in any way mean we have to sit by, silently, and pretend that such views are not offensive and even provoking to many members of our community. Because, make no mistake, they are.”
Well, here we have another in a neverending series of situations where the only proper response is to say: Imagine if a university faculty said this about a left-wing group on campus. There would be a literal riot in the streets.
Conservative thought is already an endangered species in the world of academia. To write something like this that makes the hostility towards it so blatant will only further marginalize those who don’t buy the liberal groupthink.
