According to Ed Klein, who has built a career out of landing scoops inside the seedy world of the Clintons, our erstwhile Democratic nominee for president may still be facing prison for her mishandling of classified information. Klein reports that the Justice Department has reopened the books on the Hillary Clinton private email server case and that they may be inclined to offer Mrs. Clinton a deal if she agrees to plead guilty to the charges. Having spoken to a lawyer for the Clinton family, Klein wrote that the DOJ spoke with Clinton attorneys last month, at which time there was preliminary discussion of a plea bargain.
During the exploratory talks with the prosecutor, the Clinton attorney was told that despite former FBI Director James Comey’s decision last July not to prosecute Hillary, the Justice Department has reexamined the email case and believes there are ample grounds for prosecuting Hillary on a number of counts.
Under the Justice Department’s plea offer, Hillary would be required to sign a document admitting that she committed a prosecutable crime. In return, the DOJ would agree not to bring charges against Hillary in connection with the email probe.
Also as part of the agreement, the Justice Department would not proceed with an investigation of Hillary’s pay to play deals with foreign governments and businessmen who contributed to the Clinton Foundation or who paid Bill Clinton exorbitant speaking fees.
We have to admit, this is welcome news. It gets our goat to this day that Hillary is walking around the woods, free as a bird, unwilling to accept or admit responsibility for her lawless actions at the State Department. We’d like to see her serve at LEAST a few months in prison just for having the gall to RUN FOR PRESIDENT after endangering our national security with her thoughtless actions, but we’ll take an admission of guilt if that’s all we can get. It would put the final nail in the political career of the Clintons and finally (finally) expose them for the racketeering, opportunistic snakes they really are. We can think of no more fitting end to this wretched dynasty.
Will it really happen? After last year’s rollercoaster ride, we’re hedging our bets. This isn’t the first time the Clintons have had their backs up against the wall, and somehow they always manage to slither free. So while we may never have the pleasure of seeing Hillary head to the big house, we continue to be grateful that she’s not in the White House.
